Jak and Amir smoking and thinking... sorta

just to be clear! jak is "smoking" a CANDY cigarette and Amir is "smoking" a CHOCOLATE cigar! i don't support kids ruining there bodies with drugs or tobacco but i'm just being honest when i say... we're bound to find some form of alternative, and yes, that includes smoking a twix bar XD i shit you not, that was an actual trend that started in 2011 XDDD i know about this because i've tried it very recently... a few minutes ago XDDD 

anyway, the last panel brings up things that i kinda wanted to talk about concerning my comic, it's future cartoon counterpart, and my career as an artist and animator as a whole, so this is kind of an update

as you all know, before summer came i wasn't really as invested into DA as i used to be, but i promise that changes now, while i admit that one of the reasons for my inactivity was because i was having doubts about myself that i will discus at a different time, specifically about my career as an animator and if i was ever gonna go through with it, cuz i have this thing where i plan things out almost perfectly but i don't really follow through with them, but in this case it was a bit different, when i was contemplating if i was just losing interest in art i remembered all the ideas for drawings and animations i have and i realized that i really want to see them become reality, i want to keep drawing funny and somewhat intelligent comics and i want to do more animations than just the one i made a full year ago, so hopefully i'll finish at least a few of them this summer, starting with the inmates comic/series

i can't really tell you when the next comic will come out because i'm currently trying something new and finalizing it may take a bit linger then expected, the second comic is sort of a collab with my friend he's digitally drawing over jak while i digitally draw over Amir and the rest of the comic, the reason he's drawing over jak is because i thought it might be interesting for any character based off a friend be drawn out by that friend friend, that way it makes the characters themselves stand out a bit more, but this is only an experiment and when making a comic or cartoon of any kind i personally think it's important to experiment, see what works and what doesn't, and if this doesn't work then i'm just gonna keep trying to replicate my friends styles, it'll be difficult but i'm sure it'll be worth it. another thing i should probably bring up id the fact that so far we've only seen Jak and Amir, and other than that we haven't really seen any other characters, well you'll be happy to know that the next character i plan on introducing is a character based by my friend , i want to upload his bio after the second inmates comic and then he'll appear in comic #3, have his new bio sketched out but the only problem is that for now i can't think of his new color scheme, i drew his character once and this was his color scheme fav.me/dalvxm4 but since i want the characters to represent certain cultures and ideologies and use a similar color scheme it's gonna have to change, maybe something with orange since JD likes orange and purple XD maybe he could represent anarcho mutualism or anarcho syndicalism, or just leave it ambiguous since JD doesn't follow any specific religion or ideology, yeah, i think i'll go with that... still doesn't change the fact that me and need to discuss color schemes XDDD
and as for the characters representing certain cultures and ideologies, i don't really want it just for satire, it's also for how they respond to other characters as a whole, they either get along and respect eachother or they try to kill one another. like Amir representing Anarchism and Jak representing a sort of stereotypical anarchist, and how they bounce off of eachother and the other characters, i still gotta figure out how it'll actually be executed to where it can be insightful and funny, i guess it depends on the plot of the episode, but one things for sure, i definitely plan on their being no true bad guys, some characters do good to achieve an inparticular goal, some do bad to achieve an inparticular goal, they got their reasons, some are good some are bad but overall the characters are trying to do their own things and some work together while others just clash, i guess you could say that's the potential theme of the show, "doing your own thing or just having an opinion and it either responding well with others or clashing", kinda like how the main theme in 'the venture bros.' is failure, the main theme in rick and morty can be straight up nihilism. overall i guess you could say i got pretty big plans and expectations for a show i haven't even fully developed yet XD and i guess it could get frustrating ;w; i really want to make some sort of inpact on the world with this cartoon but i should really be taking things slowly XDDD maybe right some more shit down... but imma do that later since it's 4:30 in the morning XD

speaking of time, lets talk about the main question i wanted to talk about.... when the hell does all this shit take place? XDDD i want my cartoon to comentate on what's going on in the modern times but at the same time some of the elements in the show like the smoking twix thing happened a few years ago XDDD so it may be a bit out of date and i'd hate for my show to use out of dat memes and trends like SOME modern shows  

well for now this is all i gotta say with the inmates update, hope you liked the pic of two pre-teens smoking, i'm tired af so imma go to sleep now ;w; i'll talk to you about my sow more tomorrow or something, maybe how this all connects with the show taking place in a school that's like a prison XDDD
